Somaliland Representative in Sweden hosted welcome dinner for Jama Aden Karaiin and his team in Stockholm Sweden. Jama Aden Karaiin is the National Head Coach of Sudan Track & Field team and he is well known coach in Track & field. In year 2008, Jama Aden Karaiin was selected the coach of the year for middle distance by the International Association of Athletics Federations, IAAF. This is a recognition of the hard work and achievements Jama Aden Karaiin has accomplished as coach and sportsman.

Among the members of his team is Abubaker Kaki, who became the youngest ever World Indoor champion after winning the 800 m final at age 18 years and the holder of World junior record. Another top runner is Ismail Ahmad Ismail, who won the silver medal in the men’s 800 meter in Olympic Games Peking 2008. From the womens side, there is several top runners in the world in Jama Adens team. Among them are Muna jabir and Amina bakhit.

The Somaliland Representative welcomed Jama Aden Karaiin and his team and told them that Somaliland people are proud of what Jama Aden has accomplished in athletics and it is a good example for others to follow. Jama Aden Karaiin said in his speech that he have been to Somaliland and he is glad to see the achievements Somaliland have reached in recent years when it comes business sector, democracy and good governanace.The biggest happening for Jama Aden Karaiin and his team this year is the forthcoming World Champion meeting in Berlin in August, and his target is to help Abubakar Kaki and Ismail Ahmed win new medals and trophies.
